Council to Vote on New Planning Board Chair July 25

The Montgomery County Council will select a new Chair of the Montgomery County Park and Planning Commission on July 25, Council President George Leventhal announced today.

“This week we have completed interviews of the nine candidates for the job,” said Leventhal. “On July 25, the Council will choose a successor to Derick Berlage to head this important agency.

“Between now and then, the County Council encourages County groups and organizations, as well as individuals, to let us know what you think about who would be best for the job – and why. Let us hear from you by July 18, so that your input can be shared with all Councilmembers prior to the decision.
