Developer Roundtable

DHCA will hold a Developer Roundtable on Wednesday, December 9th from 3:00 – 5:00 pm.  It will be an opportunity for developers to learn about DHCA’s housing development programs and loan application process, including changes that will take effect in January 2010.  The session will be held in the first-floor auditorium in the Council Office Building at 100 Maryland Avenue.  Please RSVP to Alisa Wilson in the Multifamily Section at alisa.wilson@montgomerycountymd.gov.

Maryland and Montgomery County Property Tax Reduction Programs

The State of Maryland has a program that gives a credit against the homeowner's property tax bill if the property taxes exceed a fixed percentage of the household income. In other words, it sets a limit on the amount of property taxes any homeowner must pay, based on his or her income. Montgomery County offers two supplemental tax credit programs. The deadline for this program has been extended to November 2, 2009
