The Village at King Farm - a new Workforce Housing project

Montgomery County's First Workforce Housing Project - the Village at King Farm - will begin selling units at the end of December 2008.  This 49-unit garden style condominium project, located north of downtown Rockville, is designed to provide affordable housing to public employees and other county households earning up to 120% of the median income for Montgomery County (currently a maximum of $119,000 for a family of four).  Information on the project, including information on how to view or apply to purchase a unit, can be found on the project's webpage.  The project is being developed by the Housing Opportunities Commission (HOC) of Montgomery County.

 
Maryland Neighborhood Conservation Initiative (NCI) proposal
Preliminary proposal for funding from the Maryland NCI; funds awarded will be used for the acquisition and rehabilitation of vacant and foreclosed upon properties to provide affordable rental housing. Public hearing scheduled for December 16, 2008 at 7:00PM at the Stella B. Warner Office Building, 7th Floor Council Hearing Room, 100 Maryland Avenue, Rockville, Maryland.
