*Inclement Weather Cancellation Policy PLEASE NOTE: When Montgomery County Public Schools close for the day, open late, or cancel after school and evening activities due to bad weather, the MPDU Orientation Seminar and/or Application Session scheduled for that time and date will be cancelled. Please visit the Montgomery County Public Schools website for the latest information on cancellations.
Note: MPDU Applications are NOT given out at the Application Session. Applications are only given out at the end of the MPDU Orientation Seminar to people registered for and attending that MPDU Orientation Seminar.
At the MPDU Application Session, your completed MPDU application and all supporting documents will be reviewed. Applications that are complete and included all required documentation will be accepted for processing. If your application is incomplete or missing documentation, your application will NOT be accepted. You will be given a list of incomplete information and documentation and will need to schedule a new Application Session when you have all of the required information and documents.
DO NOT REGISTER for an Application Session until you have completed the following four tasks.
attend a First-time Home Buyers Class to receive a “Certificate of Completion”
attend an MPDU Orientation Seminar to receive an "MPDU Application" with an Orientation ID (now required to sign up for an application session)
obtain a mortgage pre-qualification letter from an HOC participating lender
completely filled out the MPDU application and gathered all required documents (most recent federal tax return, two most recent pay stubs for each wage earner in the household, copy of lease, copy of utility bill, and any other documents to be submitted with your application).
NOTE FOR CURRENT CERTIFICATE HOLDERS: Renewal applications will not be accepted until your certificate is within 60 days of expiration. For example, if your certificate expires on 1/31/2008, you can register for an Application Session anytime after November 30, 2007.
All MPDU Application Sessions will be held at the Stella B. Werner Council Office Building, 100 Maryland Avenue, Rockville, MD, 20850 (click here for map and directions). Most of these sessions will be held in Room 225, on the second floor. At least one adult member of each household must attend.
Child care is not provided, so please do not bring children to the session. One child older than 12 years will be permitted only to act as an interpreter for parents, if necessary. Please include this child in the number of attendees when you register below, along with any other adult household members who will be attending with you.
Click the Register button next to the session you wish to attend to sign up for that MPDU Application Session. Please note that space is limited, and the remaining available appointments are shown for each session. If a particular session is full, you must select a different session.
After registering, you will receive a confirmation web page and email with your registration number. Please print the confirmation page and email and keep them for your records. You can use the registration number to cancel your registration online if your are unable to attend.
