North (Rockville area)
Go south on Rockville Pike to Strathmore Ave. (at light at Georgetown Prep)
Left on Strathmore Ave., Rt. 547,. Strathmore becomes Knowles at the signal
at Beach Drive after you have passed through the town of Garrett Park. Continue
on Knowles for three short blocks to the library on the left.
South ( from the Beltway I-495)
Take Connecticut Avenue north to the third signal after the Beltway. Turn left
onto Knowles and go 2 1/2 blocks to the library on the right.
East (Wheaton area)
Take University Blvd. West to where it merges intoConnecticut Ave. Go three signals
(past the firehouse) to Knowles Avenue. Turn right on Knowles and go 2 1/2
blocks to the library on the right.
About the Library: The Kensington Park Library was completed and opened to the public in 1969 and renovated in the mid nineties. The Library’s service area includes the towns of Kensington and Garrett Park, as well as to the residents who live within the areas of Wheaton, Chevy Chase, Bethesda, and Rockville.
