Can I use my Kindle or Sony Reader with the library's downloadable eBooks?

Kindle - No
Kindles operate with a proprietary file format, and our eBooks are not compatible. However, you can use a Kindle to listen to our MP3-format audiobooks from the Overdrive/Maryland eLibrary Consortium and from NetLibrary.

Sony Reader - Yes
Sony Reader models PRS-700 and PRS-505, with version 1.1 firmware, can usually handle the PDF-format eBooks from Maryland's eLibrary Consortium. Complexities in the text, such as graphs or charts, may render oddly.
