The Montgomery Aquatic Center (MAC), located at 5900 Executive Boulevard, North Bethesda, reopened most of its facilities today after nearly five months of major renovations. However, due to unforeseen mechanical difficulties, the main pool will not reopen immediately as planned.

The MAC underwent a complete demolition and replacement of the dive tower. Dive platforms and all staircases were re-engineered to meet current codes. The main pool was resurfaced and new racing lines were installed. Additionally, the main drain and filter were replaced.

For the remainder of the week, the spas, weight room and women’s sauna will be open from 6 a.m. to
9 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The leisure pool will be open this week according to the following schedule:

Monday: 6 to 8:45 a.m., 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and 7 to 8:30 p.m.;

Tuesday: 6 to 8:45 a.m.; 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and 7 to 8:30 p.m.;

Wednesday: 6 to 8:45 a.m.; 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and 7 to 8:30 p.m.;

Thursday: 6 to 8:45 a.m.; 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.; and 7 to 8:30 p.m.;

Friday: 6 to 8:45 a.m.; and 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
