Montgomery County’s Holiday Park Multiservice Senior Center is hosting a program on “Age Defying Fitness,” presented by Carole Lewis, Ph.D., a nationally-acclaimed physical therapist, author and teacher, on Monday, November 9 at 1:15 p.m. The free program is taking place at the center, located at 3950 Ferrara Drive, Wheaton.

Dr. Lewis is a well-known leader in the field of geriatric rehabilitation and an adjunct full professor at George Washington University School of Medicine. She has written more than 21 books and publishes monthly articles in ADVANCE, a publication for physical therapists.

Some of the topics that will be discussed include: the aging process and the importance of staying active; the body’s capability for repair and renewal; and how to get the most from your body for the rest of your life.

Dr. Lewis will also do monthly individual fitness screenings at Holiday Park beginning November 18.
