Montgomery County Council President Isiah Leggett to Introduce
Bill to Totally Ban Smoking at All County Restaurants and Bar Areas
Public Health Measure to be Announced
at Tuesday News Conference in Rockville

Montgomery County Council President Isiah Leggett (D-At-Large) will introduce legislation on Tuesday to ban all smoking in all Montgomery County restaurants and their bar areas. The measure would be among the toughest anti-smoking measures in the nation and would protect restaurant customers and employees from the ill effects of second-hand smoke.

He will be joined at a Tuesday news conference in Rockville by Councilmembers Phil Andrews (D-Rockville) and Blair Ewing (D-At-Large), who are co-sponsoring the legislation.
