            AN EXPEDITED ACT to authorize the planning, design, and construction of the office building, public parking garage, and a town square on the site of Parking Lot 13 and the Mid-County Regional Services Center (RSC) in the Wheaton Central Business District (CBD) Policy Area, Project No. 150401.

The County Council for Montgomery County, Maryland approves the following Act:

Sec. 1.   The laws of Montgomery County, Maryland, are amended to add the following:

          Montgomery County, Maryland, is authorized to plan, design, and construct the office building, public parking garage, and a town square on the site of Parking Lot 13 and the Mid-County Regional Services Center (RSC) in the Wheaton Central Business District (CBD) Policy Area.  This authorization includes all necessary planning, design, site improvements, construction, equipment, and structures.

          Sec. 2.  Expedited Effective Date.

The Council declares that this legislation is necessary for the immediate protection of the public interest.  This Act takes effect on the date on which it becomes law.
