Regina (Reggie) Oldak was elected President of the Montgomery County Commission for Women in June 2007.  A resident of Bethesda, she has worked throughout her career with community leaders, government representatives and nonprofit organizations to advocate for issues of central concern to women and families.  Ms. Oldak is currently Senior Counsel at the National Women's Law Center, focusing on Family Economic Security issues.  She previously served as Chief of Staff to Montgomery County Councilmember Roger Berliner.  She is on the Boards of Directors of Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington, PPMW's Action Fund, Montgomery Women, and the Advisory Board of the Sexual Assault Legal Institute.  She was a founding member of the Board of Maryland Legislative Agenda for Women, and she was a legislative aide to former Maryland Senator Sharon Grosfeld.  A graduate of Smith College, Ms. Oldak earned her law degree with honors at Georgetown University Law Center. 

  Leila Aridi Afas was born and raised in Montgomery County and is Country Manager for the Middle East and North Africa at the U.S. Trade and Development Agency.  Prior to joining USTDA, Leila earned her Master's Degree in International Affairs from Columbia University and she was awarded a fellowship in International Economic Policy.  She is a member of Montgomery County Business and Professional Women and was selected as the 2005 Maryland State Young Careerist.  Leila is also a member of Women in International Trade and the United Nations Association, among other professional organizations.  

  Vanessa Atterbeary is employed as the Assistant Attorney General for the District of Columbia where she represents citizens and the government in civil enforcement actions.  Prior to this, she was an Associate Attorney in a Bethesda law firm, and clerked for The Honorable Judge David W. Young.  She has served on the planning committee for the Women's Legislative Briefing for the past two years, representing the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.  She is a member of the state, county, D.C. and National Bar Associations, as well as the Montgomery County Women's Bar Association and the Maryland Trial Lawyers Association.  She served as Chair of the Montgomery County Community Advisory Committee in 2007.

Jennifer Cryor Baldwin a resident of North Potomac, is the Regional Nurse Executive for Kaiser Permanente, where she leads efforts to plan, design, develop and maintain nursing standards and competency systems for the region.  For five years prior to accepting this position in 2007, she was the Senior Vice President for Patient Care and Services and the Chief Nurse Executive at Holy Cross Hospital.  She has held nursing, administrative and policy positions at Inova Fair Oaks Hospital, Georgetown University Hospital, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.  Ms. Baldwin holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration and has completed eight marathons!

Jane Hobdy a resident of Rockville, Ms. Hobdy is the Director Business Development in North America for Boldon James, Ltd., a software development company.  She holds an Executive MBA from the University of Maryland University College, concentrating in International Business.  She has just finished a term as President of the Board of Directors of Miriam's House, a shelter in Washington, D.C. for homeless women living with HIV.  She is a former volunteer at My Sister's Place, a shelter for abused women and their children, and is a former board member of the Montgomery County Family Services Agency.

Chandra Walker Holloway 
Ms. Holloway is an attorney in solo practice specializing in family, employment and injury law, with offices in Silver Spring.  She holds a law degree from the Georgetown University Law Center and is a resident of Burtonsville.  She has represented her sorority on the planning committee for CFW's annual Women's Legislative Briefing for three years.  As a member of the Montgomery County Bar Association, she has volunteered at the organization's Evening Pro Bono Legal Clinic and represented women on a pro bono basis in matters involving divorce, custody, and domestic violence.   

Resa Levy is a resident of Olney who is the director of philanthropy for Jewish Women International. Previously she worked as the director of corporate sponsorship and special projects for the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington. She holds a B.A. in Education from American University and is a graduate of Leadership Montgomery. She is a founding member and vice president of Montgomery County Crimesolvers and served on that board for years, and is a former member of the Bethesda Academy of the Performing Arts (BAPA).

Jaclyn Lichter is the Political Director for the Service Employees International Union, Local 500 where she plans and implements member participation in legislative and political action programs. She taught 5th grade at Glen Haven Elementary School before starting her career in labor unions, and interned for a semester in the office of U.S. Senator Barbara Mikulski. She earned her Masters of Education degree at the University of Maryland. A resident of North Bethesda, Ms. Lichter served on the Board of Directors of the Montgomery County Education Association, Board of Directors of Committee for Montgomery, and has been active in the National Council of Social Studies, the Maryland State Teachers Association and the Society for Human Resource Management.

Larniece McKoy Moore is employed by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission in the Office of the General Counsel where she works as the Recruiting and Professional Development Coordinator. She earned her law degree from Howard University and is a resident of Silver Spring. She has worked in the Legal Services Advocacy Project in Minnesota and with the U.S. Department of Justice. With the firm of Robins, Kaplan, Miller and Ciresi, LLP in Minneapolis, she was the Diversity and Professional Development Manager. Ms. Moore is a member of the Junior League of Washington and served on the board of the Domestic Abuse Project.

 Tedi Osias is the director of Legislative and Public Affairs at the Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County.  She served as chief of staff to County Council member Howard Denis, and as the Executive Secretary to the Montgomery County Board of Appeals. Earlier in her career Ms. Osias was a program analyst in the Office of Legislative Oversight and a county land use and transportation planner.  Ms. Osias also worked as a legislative aide to Delegate Nancy Kopp, and has volunteered in Congressional and General Assembly election campaigns.  Ms. Osias serves as an independent member of the Commission for Women and is a graduate and board member of Leadership Montgomery.

Sanjay Rai, Ph.D. is the Instructional Dean of Science, Engineering and Mathematics on the Rockville Campus of Montgomery College.  A resident of Boyds, he has worked at the college since 2004, and is the author of numerous publications and presentations.  Throughout his career, Dr. Rai has been involved in projects that increase the number of women and minorities in the sciences.  He is the project director of "Project Portal to Success in Engineering," a program designed to increase the number of women and minorities in the college's engineering program.  He also provides leadership to the Sonya Kovalevsky Day of activities encouraging eighth grade girls to study mathematics and science.

Jocelyn Samuels, a resident of Bethesda, is an attorney who works as the Vice President for Education and Employment at the National Women’s Law Center.  Prior to this position, which she has held for six and a half years, she was the Labor Counsel for Senator Edward Kennedy, and worked for ten years as the Senior Attorney-Advisor in the Office of Legal Counsel for the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
