Solicitor's Permit Information

You are welcome to solicit sales from Montgomery County license-holders as long as you follow the rules of Article 2b of the Annotated Code of Maryland, the Montgomery County Department of Liquor Control Division of Licensure, Regulation and Education  (LRE) and other guidelines of the Department of Liquor Control.

Montgomery County Solicitor’s Permit - You must have a Montgomery County Solicitor’s Permit before actively engaging in any sales activity. To obtain a permit, please look at the Application Instructions (pdf), complete the Solicitor’s Permit Application Form (pdf) and mail or hand-deliver along with payment* to:

A Solicitor’s Permit card will be prepared for you to pick up.

You must have this card in your possession when selling beverage alcohol in Montgomery County.

* Solicitor’s Permits cost $60 a year (July 1 thru June 30). After January 1, the price is reduced to $30 for the remaining months of the current year.

This fee also entitles you to one copy of the DLC Newsletter each month.

This fee is subject to change without notice.
