NATIONAL PUBLIC WORKS WEEK ACTIVITIES

National Public Works Week is a celebration sponsored each year by the American Public Works Association.  This year's activities take place between May 20th and 26th, 2007.  Public works organizations all across the U.S. will be planning events to commemorate the service they provide to their communities. 

Montgomery County's Department of Public Works and Transportation will be staging various activities during this week for both its employees and the public. 

Photo Contest

The public is invited to submit photos of public works projects, services, or workers for our annual NPWW Photo Contest!  The first place winner receives a $100 US Savings bond.  Subject matter can include such things as road work, transit service, recycling activity, or a public construction project.  Nomination forms (PDF, 283 kb) contain contest rules and additional information.  Entries are due May 4, 2007.
