Germantown Indoor Pool
The Germantown Indoor SwimCenter is located
within the South Germantown Recreational Park, 18000 Central Park Circle, Boyds, Maryland 20841. Family recreational swim periods and lap swim periods are available daily. The Germantown Indoor Swim Center operates from 6:00am to 10:00pm, seven days each week for 50 weeks a year, serving 600-800 people each day. See the Germantown Pool schedule for details about scheduled lap swim times, open swim times, etc. The facility promotes health and exercise opportunities, teach life-time water skills and provides jobs as well as a social outlet for our area youth and adults. The Swim Center enhances the quality of the life in the Greater Germantown area.

Germantown Indoor Swim Center is a state-of-the-art facility with approximately 60,000 gross square feet. It has a competition pool, a recreation pool, and a leisure pool, as well as two separate hydrotherapy pools. This facility has something for everyone!

Recreation Pool
The recreation pool is used for instruction, water exercise, general recreational activities and lap swimming. It includes teaching ledges for the MCRD lesson program. One of the hydrotherapy pools is located alongside this pool, while a coed sauna is conveniently located outside the locker rooms.

Competition Pool
The competition pool boasts a size of 25 meters (8 lane) long by 25 yards (10 lanes) wide. This pool  attracts people from all over as they attend local and regional swimming meets for RMSC and the local high school teams. The meter course is based on FINA regulations, while the yard course is based on NCAA regulations. A dive tower contains 5 meter, 7.5 meter, and 10 meter platforms. The diving area is also used for recreational swimming, deep water running, water polo, SCUBA, water safety instruction, and non-competitive training (Fire & Rescue). Additionally, water slides as long as 200 feet dispatch swimmers from the platform level and terminate them into a splash pool area of the leisure pool.

Leisure Pool
The leisure pool complements the facility so
that all patrons including senior citizens, the handicapped and children not comfortable in the other pools will have a warm water, shallow recreation space. The pool contains interactive water features such as kiddie slides, water umbrellas, and tumble buckets. There is also a ramped area, as well as broad shallow steps with appropriate grab rails. This pool will be used for swim lessons, adult water exercise, and therapy.
