Reedie Drive PRSAIn April 2010, the Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT), in partnership with the Maryland State Highway Administration (MDSHA), conducted a Pedestrian Road Safety Audit (PRSA) along an 800-foot stretch of Reedie Drive in Wheaton, Maryland. MCDOT led a multi-disciplinary team of law enforcement and transportation professionals to evaluate pedestrian safety along this roadway, which has been identified as a High Incidence Area for pedestrian collisions. This evaluation will become the basis for implementing pedestrian safety improvements on Reedie Drive. MCDOT is now working with other agencies to develop recommendations for improving pedestrian safety along this busy stretch of roadway in the Wheaton Central Business District (CBD).
