Purpose

Coordinate pedestrian safety education, enforcement, and engineering work to achieve the County Executive's announced Pedestrian Safety Initiative, December, 2007. 

Ways MCDOT Conducts Outreach

arrow pointer MCDOT consists of five divisions plus the Director’s Office. For question, concerns and/or complaints, citizens can call MC311 Monday through Friday between 8:00am to 5:00pm by dialing 311 inside the County (outside Montgomery County dial 240-777-0311 ) or submit via the MC311 website.

arrow pointer Grant Beautification Program has been suspended, due to fiscal constraints. 

arrow pointer Trash Free Potomac Watershed Initiative

MCDOT provides funding and staff support to the regional public outreach component of this initiative.  The County Executive and several members of the County Council have signed the Trash Treaty which enlists the support of local jurisdictions in working to achieve a trash-free Potomac River by 2013.
