Veterans Collaborative meetings serve as an informal gathering for people who are working with veterans. Meetings are held bi-monthly as a joint initiative of the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services and the Serving Together: Troops, Veterans and Family Care Project – a project of the Mental Health Association of Montgomery County, with support from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, local funding partnerships and other valued community partners. Meetings are open to the public.
SPOTLIGHT: Veteran Resource and Community Volunteer Fair - Saturday May 10th at Glen Echo Park. Come for connections, stay for family fun! Free carousel rides, free puppet show tickets, and free parking! Meet with local Veteran Service Officers, organizations providing benefit, financial and employment assistance. Learn about volunteer opportunities with military and veteran serving organizations including: Hero Dogs, Give an Hour and American Red Cross. Hosted by the Montgomery County Veterans Collaborative and Glen Echo Partnerships for Arts and Culture, Inc.
