Community Action Agency

The Community Action Agency is the federally mandated anti-poverty program in Montgomery. Through its programs and partnerships, the CAA helps low-income residents acquire useful skills, and gain access to education and employment opportunities to achieve economic self sufficiency. In conjunction with its governing Community Action Board (CAB), CAA conducts community-wide assessments, develops anti-poverty strategies, provides contract management and monitoring with community-based partners, promotes advocacy on behalf of low-income populations in the County to eliminate poverty.
