Holiday Giving Program
For over 30 years, the Holiday Giving Project (HGP) of Montgomery County, Maryland, has provided Thanksgiving and December holiday assistance to low-income households. A network of social workers, school counselors, and other human service professionals refer families and individuals in need of holiday assistance.

Pew-MacArthur Results First: Mentoring
In April 2016, Montgomery County, Maryland, became the first county outside California to join Results First. DHHS is working to inventory and assess county program investments concentrating on its mentoring programs.

Healthy Montgomery
Healthy Montgomery is Montgomery County’s community health improvement process that brings together County government agencies, County hospital systems, minority health programs/initiatives, advocacy groups, academic institutions, community-based service providers and other stakeholders to achieve optimal health and well-being for all Montgomery County residents.

Results-Based Leadership
The Maryland Governor's Office for Children and the Annie E. Casey Foundation Results-Based Leadership Program aims to achieve improved outcomes among disconnected opportunity youth in Montgomery County by 31 December 2017. The Montgomery County Team is led by the Collaboration Council and comprised of representatives of DC-YMCA, DHHS, and MCPS.


University of Maryland (UMD) PALS
The Partnership for Action Learning in Sustainability (PALS) is administered by the National Center for Smart Growth at the University of Maryland, College Park (UMD). It is a campus-wide initiative that harnesses the expertise of UMD faculty and the energy and ingenuity of UMD students to help Maryland communities become more environmentally, economically, and socially sustainable. 



Montgomery County Volunteer Center
The Volunteer Center strives to promote and expand meaningful community service in Montgomery County by recruiting, supporting, and connecting volunteers and nonprofits.
