Facts About Mandatory Training

Montgomery County Government requires all Montgomery County Employees to take the Prevention of Workplace Harassment training course within the initial 90 days of hire.  It is also required as a refresher course on a 3 year cycle for all employees. The EEO Division also provides mandatory EEO Compliance training for supervisors, managers and directors. It is required on a 4 year cycle.

The courses further reinforces the County’s strong commitment to EEO and diversity in the workplace. Training and diversity education are proactive steps towards compliance to Federal, State and local discrimination laws and in furtherance of maintaining a diverse and inclusive workforce.

The Division also provides customized training to County departments and agencies to address industry and trade specific issues, one-on-one sessions and on-site training. Training is provided on the aforementioned compliance areas as well as in topics related to diversity.

Employees may register for the training via Oracle systems.  Departments may request on-site training by contacting the EEO Compliance Division. Any questions regarding training needs or schedules should be directed to the EEO Division.
