Internship Opportunity

The Montgomery County Office of Emergency Management and Homeland Security is recruiting for the 2018 Spring Internship Program period (January-May).  This intern will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects/assignments within our office.

The Spring 2018 Intern will gain experience while working on projects/assignments such as:

  • Providing research and other assistance for a variety of planning efforts including: emergency operations plans, facility action plans, critical infrastructure, hazard vulnerability, hazard mitigation, crisis communications, and volunteer and donations management
  • Working with outreach coordinator to develop community outreach campaign and events
  • Assisting the operations department with EOC tools
  • Participating in available training and exercises

Who may apply:

  • Students enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program

Internship Details

  • Pay: Unpaid
  • Duration: January - May, 2018
  • Time Commitment: Interns are required to commit at least 15-20 hours per week.
