The Montgomery County Police Department, in partnership with Montgomery College, is now offering paid positions in the Montgomery County Police Cadet Program.

Purpose of Cadet Program

The Cadet Program has been established to provide any qualified individual who is interested in becoming a police officer with the Montgomery County Police Department, first-hand experiences in law enforcement.

 

Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:

                                           

Be 18 years old (at time of appointment)

Possess a high school diploma or general education development (GED) equivalent

Possess a valid driver's license

Pass a background check

 United States Citizen

 

Traditional Cadet Program

 

Cadets participating in the traditional Cadet program receive a hourly rate of  $15.50 per hour (work 20 hours per week).
