Sex Offender Registry

Upon conviction of a variety of sex offenses, including but not limited to, sexual abuse of a minor, first degree rape and sex offense, and second degree rape and sex offense, a person residing in Maryland is required to register as a sex offender.  The Special Victims Division is responsible for the prosecution of all violations of the Maryland Sex Offender registry laws.  With the assistance of the Montgomery County Police Department, Special Victims Division, Pedophile Section, the SVD is able to aggressively prosecute these violations and hold sex offenders living in Montgomery County accountable for their violations of the registry laws.
