Silver Spring Cat Missing During Rabies Quarantine

The Montgomery County Police, Animal Services Division is in search of a lost cat living on the 2700 Block of Elnora Street, Silver Spring, MD.

The cat escaped from its home during a period of isolation where it was being observed due to possibly having contact with an unknown animal, which resulted in a small wound to the cat. The Animal Services Division would like to bring this cat home and continue monitoring her health and wellbeing. Any citizen who has seen or may have additional information about this cat is urged to contact Officer Ricketts with the Montgomery County Police Departments, Animal Services Division at 240-762-0703.

This cat is described as a Female, un-spayed, Brown Tabby approximately 8 months old named Tabitha. Tabitha is described by her owner as being friendly however; she was found stray recently and is believed to have been not previously owned. Citizens are asked not to have physical contact with Tabitha as she may be scared leading to a bite or scratch. If you think you see Tabitha now, please call the Emergency Command Center at 301-279-8000 to have an Officer dispatched out to your area.
