In this workshop, we will explore items of importance for year end, including funding of 401Ks, use-it-or-lost-it and other health insurance provisions, IRA or Roth IRA contributions, taking gains and losses for tax purposes, insurances, annuitites and tax-favored home improvements.
We will also take a look ahead to planning for 2010, examining investments, savings and tax-saving ideas to get a head-start on the New Year.

Jamie S. Lapin, Certified Financial Planner, Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, and Registered Investment Adviser has provided skilled and practical guidance as a financial consultant for over 25 years. Her satisfied clients include owners of closely-held businesses, professionals with business needs, as well as individuals seeking assistance with every phase of financial, business, tax, estate, retirement planning and elder care. Jamie opened her independent financial planning firm in 1984, with the goal of providing all clients with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to achieve their economic goals.
Learning by personal experience of the greatly under-served needs of people going through divorce, Jamie obtained the necessary additional training to become a Certified Divorce Financial Planner. With this background, she is able to address the financial issues surrounding divorce and the ramifications of settlement decisions not just today, but also 5, 10, or 20 years ahead.
Jamie is also a member of Montgomery County GROWS, the Grassroots Organization for the Well-being of Seniors.
