As part of Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett’s continuing efforts to engage with and solicit feedback from the County’s business community, he and senior members from his staff met yesterday with a diverse group of senior-level executives from 25 major employers throughout the County. The working luncheon was hosted at the Music Center at Strathmore.

“In light of the ongoing economic challenges facing County businesses and residents alike, I feel it is important to actively engage our private sector leaders and give them an ongoing opportunity to share directly with me, and members of my senior management team, specific views and insights on topics they deem relevant and important to them and their fellow business colleagues,” said Leggett. “The ultimate goal is to maintain and enhance the lines of communication between County government and our major employers by bringing us together three to four times a year.”

Luncheon participants included senior executives from Lockheed Martin, Suburban Hospital, Marriott Corporation, GEICO, Hughes Network Systems, BioReliance, Adventist HealthCare, Inc., IBM, Federal Systems, PNC Bank and Holy Cross Hospital.

“This senior executive luncheon is an important economic initiative of the County Executive, and our Department was delighted to help facilitate this event and hear from the CEOs of our key employers,” said Pradeep Ganguly, Ph.D., Director of the Montgomery County Department of Economic Development.
