Thursday, November 26, 2009: Thanksgiving Day - No County-provided recycling or trash collections on November 26; Thursday and Friday collections that week shift by one day. Transfer Station closes at 5 p.m. on November 25; closed November 26.

Effective September 21, 2009, our recycling program expanded to accept additional blue bin and mixed paper items!

Curbside Collection Details

Please have all items intended for curbside collection at the curb by 7 a.m. on your weekly recycling day.

Weekly: Blue Bin Recyclables

Rinse out the materials below, and place them into your blue bin for collection. Recyclables in plastic bags are not accepted.

Each blue recycling bin for cans, bottles and plastics must weigh 45 pounds or less. Each box or bundle of paper must also weigh 45 pounds or less.

Weekly: Other Materials

Please set your recyclables and trash at the curb in separate piles. Place recyclable items next to your blue bin

Paper recycling collection

Prepare your paper for recycling in bags, bundles, or in your wheeled paper recycling cart, set at the curb next to your blue bin.

Scrap metal recycling collection

Scrap metal recycling collections are made on your collection day at no charge. You must request the collection in advance.

Bulk trash collection

Curbside bulk trash collections are made on your collection day at no charge. You must request the collection in advance

If curbside collection is not provided for a material, you may be able to take it directly to a County facility for disposal. Specific instructions are provided under the link for each material.
