Tires from personal passenger vehicles

• accepted only from residents; we cannot accept tires from businesses.
• accepted at the Shady Grove Solid Waste Transfer Station.
  • Follow the signs to the Public Unloading Area. Look for the containers labeled "Tires".
• up to 4 tires per visit
• tire details:
  • tires may be up to 33 inches in diameter.
  • we accept tires both with and without rims.
• Bicycle tires are not accepted in the Transfer Station's tire drop-off; please dispose of them as trash.

Tires from commercial vehicles and non-residential sources

Sorry, we cannot accept tires from these sources.

Tires from community or illegal dumping cleanups

Please contact us at 240-777-6560 before bringing tires from community or illegal dumping cleanups. We'll help you determine whether the tires involved are acceptable in our program.
