How to recycle/dispose of fencing

Metal fencing

We accept chain link and metal fencing in our curbside scrap metal recycling collection and at the Shady Grove Transfer Station's scrap metal recycling drop-off. The fencing must be rolled up and reasonably rust-free. The roll may be up to 8 feet in height.

Metal fencing is not accepted at the Beauty Spots.

Wooden fencing

Sorry, we do not accept wooden fencing in our weekly trash or special bulk trash collection service.

You may dispose of wooden fencing directly at the Shady Grove Transfer Station. Disposal fees apply to amounts weighing 500 or more pounds.

The Beauty Spots accept wooden fencing up to 499 pounds.
