Your tax-deductible donations of appliances (less than 5 years old, please), building materials, and furniture in usuable condition are accepted during ReStore's regular business hours (see their website for hours).
The ReStore provides at-home pickup -- including from apartments and condominiums -- if your donation qualifies for this service. Please call the store to make arrangements.
The proceeds from the sale of these items is used to further the projects of Habitat for Humanity in Montgomery County, MD.

Getting Them Sober is a 501(c)3 charitable nonprofit organization providing information and support to families dealing with a member's addition to alcohol. They accept furniture and other unwanted or no-longer-needed items. No broken items, please. Past donations have even included old medical instruments, old broadway playbills, and collectibles from college days. Receipts are provided for the full fair market value of your items for your tax deduction.
At-home Furniture Pick-up
At-home furniture pickup is offered if the donation includes at least one roomful of donated items. That can be any mix of furniture, kitchen items, linens, dishes, etc., which is unbroken and in good condition.
