All exchanges must be free of charge.

What's special about used vegetable oil?

Often considered a waste material, straight vegetable oil (SVO) and waste vegetable oil (WVO) can become the key ingredient for producing biodiesel.

The US Environmental Protection Agency does not recognize SVO or WVO as an approved fuel. Vegetable Oil Exchange members should do their own research to ensure that the SVO and WVO they acquire is used in accordance with Local, State and Federal requirements.

Montgomery County does not endorse illegal pick up or disposal of SVO and WVO. These actions may be subject to Local, State and Federal penalties.
