Beginning on or about November 1, 2009, Parking Lot 31A will be temporally closed for approximately 60 days.  This small lot is located south of Bethesda Avenue and east of Woodmont Avenue.  It is across the street from the much larger Parking Lot 31.  The larger lot remains open.

The temporary closure of the small parking lot is required to facilitate the relocation of utilities necessitated by the public/private re-development of the entire Lot 31 area.  It is currently projected for Lot 31A to then reopen to the public by December 31, 2009.

The closure of Lot 31A and Lot 31 for the construction of the new underground parking garage is not scheduled until the spring of 2011 (not the fall of 2010 as reported earlier).  For additional information, a map showing where both lots are located, and parking options, visit the Division of Parking Management's website.
