Snow plows will be practicing November 3 for snowier days to come
The MCDOT Division of Highway Services will conduct an all-day exercise on November 3rd to test the preparedness of the County’s snow plans and fleet. Snow patrols will run snow routes on most of the 4,800 lane miles of County-maintained roads. Staff will handle a simulated six-inch snow storm.
County Executive Isiah Leggett will speak at the County’s snow summit on November 4th, where officials from all agencies in the County with snow removal operations assess their readiness for this winter’s storms and discuss new initiatives. Snow plows and other snow removal equipment will be displayed at the Bethesda Depot, which has state-of-the-art facilities and a salt dome.
