Go south toward Gaithersburg on I-270 to Exit 11, Montgomery Village Ave. Continue on
Montgomery Village Ave. Go past the firehouse on the left. Lakeforest Mall can be seen on a hill to
the right. The library is a large brown building on the left side of Montgomery Village Ave., opposite
the Mall. Turn left onto Christopher Ave. (Lost Knife Road south of Montgomery Village Ave). Go
past library to parking in rear of building.
North (Frederick/Upper Montgomery Counties via 355)
Proceed south on Route 355 to the 4-way stop light at Montgomery Village Ave. Turn left onto
Montgomery Village Ave. Go past the firehouse on the left. Lakeforest Mall can be seen on a hill to
the right. The library is a large brown building on the left side of Montgomery Village Ave., opposite
the Mall. Turn left onto Christopher Ave. (Lost Knife Road south of Montgomery Village Ave). Go
past library to parking in rear of building.
South (Rockville area via I-270)
Go north toward Gaithersburg on I-270 to Exit 11, Montgomery Village Ave. Exit onto

Proceed north on Route 355, past Shady Grove Rd. Go over the high bridge into
Gaithersburg and through the business district, to the 4-way stop light at Montgomery
Village Ave. Turn right onto Montgomery Village Ave. Go past the firehouse on the left.

About the Library: Gaithersburg Library, built in 1982, serves the large and diverse city of Gaithersburg. Conveniently located near Lakeforest Mall on the corner of Montgomery Village Avenue and Christopher Avenue, the library houses a large collection of materials for both children and adults and serves as a meeting place for the community. The library offers both children’s and adult programs, including the popular Conversation Club for English learners.
