Olney Library closed for a major renovation on December 31, 2010. The book drop is also closed.

The Olney community will have partial interim library service via a kiosk at the Longwood Recreation Center by the end of March, 2012. Announced on December 14, 2011, by the County Executive, the kiosk will provide the following:

• Current titles for both children and adults in a book vending machine;
• DVDs, and possibly CDs, in a media vending machine;
• Holds pick-up in a locker system;
• Indoor book drop.
