MARY ELLEN MENKE

Ms. Menke serves on the Board as the member representing retired employees.

Prior to her retirement, Ms. Menke was an employee of Montgomery County from 1978 until 1991.  She was the first director of the Wheaton Community Service Center (now called the Mid-County Center) and later was head of the Office of Planning Policies.  Ms. Menke previously served on the Board as an employee representative from 1987 to 1990.  Following her retirement from the County, she and her husband operated a manufacturing business from 1991- 2002.

Ms. Menke received a BS from Marquette University and a Masters in Public Policy and M.Ed, from the University of Maryland.
