Internet Video Viewer System Requirements

In order to view and listen to video streamed on-line, it is recommended that you have:

  • a PC with at least a 233-MHz processor Pentium II and 64 MB RAM,
  • a minimum 56Kbps Internet connection, and
  • a Windows Media Player (version 9 or higher) or a Microsoft Silverlight player
Video is streamed at various speeds ranging from 56 Kbps to 350 Kbps. The connection speeds are automatically detected to ensure the highest quality stream possible.

Important Note for County Employees Silverlight may not currently be installed on your desktop. Consequently, the Council and CCM viewers will display videos in your browser using Windows Media Player technology. In the near future, it is anticipated that Silverlight will be made available and/or installed remotely on desktops throughout the County.
