Isabel Argoti

Isabel Argoti is a Montgomery County native and proud immigrant from Ecuador. Upon graduating from Albert Einstein High School, Isabel attended the University of Virginia and is the first in her family to receive a college degree. Although she studied architecture, Isabel developed a strong passion for youth programs, graphic design, and communications. While at UVA, she founded the Alpha Rho Chapter of Sigma Lambda Upsilon/Señoritas Latinas Unidas Sorority Incorporated, served as an RA, and helped form the LADYS mentorship program for teen girls in Charlottesville, Virginia. Since then, Isabel interned with the National Park Service in both Denver, Colorado and Washington, D.C. in the division of interpretation, education, and volunteers working with the national youth program—Every Kid in a Park—where she was focused on documenting national and regional program data and communications.

Isabel is currently a Program Manager at Collegiate Directions, Inc. (CDI), a nonprofit organization in Bethesda, MD committed to closing the education, achievement and opportunity gap for low-income, primary first-generation-to-college students. She is spearheading a new Career Mentoring program which helps connect CDI Scholars to accomplished professionals and access to workforce opportunities. Isabel is a former CDI Scholar, Class of 2012. In her free time, Isabel enjoys spending time with her family, swimming, and traveling. She is a proud aunt, sister, and daughter.
