Garage 7 (Cameron-Second Garage) Effective March 1, 2007 the Cameron-Second Garage will be converted from a Cashier Pay System to an automated Pay-by-Space System. This new system is a Self-Service parking system that allows you the convenience to pay for the use of a public parking space using bills and/or coins. Garage 2 (Spring-Cameron Garage) The Spring-Cameron Garage will undergo partial deck replacement near the entrance from Cameron Street. Construction will commence on September 16th 2008. The project work will take approxiamatly 2 month to complete. During this construction the Cameron Street entrance to Garage 2 will be closed. Please follow detour signs to the Planning Place Entrance.

Garage 5/55 (Bonifant-Dixon Garage in Silver Spring) The Bonifant/Dixon Garage is made up of two buildings connected by a bridge over Bonifant Street. The Bonifant Street entrance to the northern building will be closed on/or about September 15th 2008. The northern building can be accessed using the Dixon Avenue entrance. Please follow detours signs when exiting this section of the garage. This closure is expected to last until 2010.

Garage 35 (Woodmont-Rugby Garage in Bethesda) The Woodmont/Rugby Garage will undergo partial deck replacement. Construction will commence on or about July 14, 2008. The project work will take approximately 365 days and will be done in 7 phases. Each phase will close approximately 100 parking spaces. During construction the remainder of the garage (not under construction) will remain open and functional. Parkers are advised to park in Garage 36, located between Delray Avenue and Auburn Avenue.

Garage 57 (Bethesda-Elm Garage in Bethesda) The Bethesda/Elm Garage will undergo elevator modernization. The renovation will commence in July 2008 and will take approximately 365 days to complete. During the renovation, some elevators will be temporarly closed. Only one elevator will be closed at a time, other elevators will remain open and functional.
- Overtime Parking

It is illegal to park longer than the hours stated on the parking meter and, inserting additional coins after the time has elasped does not extend the allowable time a vehicle may remain parked n the same space.

The fine for overtime parking is $40.

Long Term parking is available at public parking lots and garages.
