  The Highway Maintenance Section of the Division of Operations is responsible for maintenance of the roadway infrastructure including resurfacing roads, shoulder maintenance, curb, gutter and sidewalk repair and replacement, roadway tree maintenance, and right-of-way care.

Programs managed and implemented by the Section include: Roadway and Related Maintenance, Roadway Reforestation, Snow Removal/Storms and Tree Maintenance. Additionally, the Section, in conjunction with other County agencies, is involved in the installation of speed humps, Vacuum Leaf Collection, and Renew Montgomery.
