  • Written Exam Sign-Up:
    Current Process - E-mail Captain Walker (Derrell.Walker@montgomerycountymd.gov) for request to take written exam. You must include the date and type of the test you will attending in the subject line of your e-mail.

 

  • Written Exams are administered at the Driver Training Building, promptly starts @ 0900hrs on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month:

  • Practical Exam Procedures:

    Practical tests for all vehicles will be administered at the PSTA while on duty. The tests are scheduled by appointment only. The station officer must e-mail the request with three proposed dates to the Driver Training Coordinator (DTC). The DTC will choose one date and e-mail the station officer back in a timely manner. Once the station officer receives confirmation they must notify the Battalion Chief to place the time and date on the apparatus tracker. The station officer will review the training package to ensure that all components have been completed prior to test day (failure to complete assignments the applicant will be sent back to the station). You must obtain a 70% grade or higher on all evolutions to continue with the driver training process. You must wait a minimum of 30 days to schedule a re-test for practical evolutions.
