Volunteers are the cornerstone of the Montgomery County, Maryland Commission for Women.

Our volunteers contribute about 16,000 hours of combined service annually -- the equivalent of 8 full-time employees! Virtually every function of the Commission for Women involves volunteers.

Volunteering can be rewarding on many levels. Volunteers can put life experience to good use at the Counseling and Career Center, share professional expertise and learn new skills. They can even benefit from the knowledge of others. We rely on our volunteers to help us provide information and referral services to our patrons. Some volunteers are assigned to special projects, based on their skills.  

We are currently recruiting for:

• information and referral specialists
  (bilingual English/Spanish a real plus)
• office and project assistants
