The Division of Capital Development (DCD) is responsible for planning, engineering, and constructing Montgomery County's infrastructure to the highest safety and performance standards possible while paying close attention to citizen's input, environmental and economic concerns. Today, DCD is responsible for more than 2000 miles of primary and secondary roads, more than 253 bridges, and many public buildings. DCD employs over 90 people with varying skills and backgrounds. DCD has four main sections:

Transportation Design Section is responsible for the Planning and Design of Transportation  projects.

  

Transportation Construction Section is responsible for the overall construction administration and inspection of  Transportation projects. 

 

Building Design Section is responsible for the design of County Buildings and Facilities.

 

Building Construction Section is responsible for the overall construction administration and inspection of  County Facilities and Building projects.
