The Safety Captains perform administrative and operational functions on a day to day basis. The primary responsibilities are:

• Support MCFRS personnel as a primary source of safety information and resource for safety related matters
• Ace as Program Managers in certain primary safety areas.

The Safety Captain completes a variety of administrative tasks, interface with the shifts and other work unit personnel and respond to fire, rescue and EMS incidents during a shift.
