• deliver local and national GIS news and events; and,
• provide access to staff and related web sites.

The Montgomery County DTS-GIS team offers GIS consulting services, database management, custom maps, application development, and training services to the Montgomery County Executive Branch departments and offices using a variety of local (stand-alone or Intranet) and wide area (Internet) network solutions. Major priorities of the DTS GIS team include;

• developing custom maps for Executive Branch departments and offices;
• maintaining the Montgomery County street centerline file
• providing project-oriented GIS analysis services for clients including the Montgomery County Department of Fire and Rescue, the Police Department, the Department of Environmental Protection, the Department of Public Works and Transportation, the Department of Economic Development, and the Department of Housing and Community Affairs;
• developing enterprise and public access GIS applications and Web sites; and,
• facilitating GIS education and training seminars.
