Metadata Search Tool

The Metadata Search Tool enables you to search and to browse geo-spatial metadata to find a particular GIS data set maintained by Montgomery County Government. You can search by title, by keyword, and by publication date. A keyword is necessary to search, but a range of publication dates are not necessary. Click the keyword link to obtain a list of keywords and sub-keywords. To list all metadata, select the --List All-- option in the Keyword list box.

The metadata satisfies the mandatory or minimum geo-spatial metadata requirements stated in the 1998 Federal Geographic Data Committee Content Standard for Geo-spatial Metadata.

If you would like to obtain a GIS data set listed in the catalog, then sign the GIS Data Products License Agreement and go to the Data Catalog and Shopping Cart. If you have any questions concerning the metadata, then please contact the agency or person listed in the distribution contact section of the metadata. If you have trouble finding a particular data set or if you have any questions, then please use the General Comments Feedback Form.
