Linkages to Learning, a Collaborative School-based Partnership among the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services, Montgomery County Public Schools, Public and Private Agencies, Families and Communities


	School Health Services Center
	The School Health Services Center, co-located with MCPS' International Student Admission Office at Rocking Horse Road, provides immunizations and TB testing of all newly enrolling MCPS international students. Hours: Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (noon) Walk-in clinic hours are available to county school age residents. Foreign born students are seen in conjunction with their International Student Admission Office appointment, which may be scheduled by calling the ISAO at 301.230.0686.

	Immunizations:
	Depending on the age of the child enrolling in school, certain immunizations are required to be completed or in process of completion. The required immunizations may include: diphtheris, tetanus, pertussis, polio, measles, mumps, rubella, haemophilus influenza B, hepatitis B, and varicella. These vaccines are provided at the School Health Services Center. State of Maryland provides information about the required immunizations for school entry.

	Tuberculosis Clearance:
	The Montgomery County Tuberculosis Control Program recommends that foreign born children and children who have lived outside the United States for one year or more show proof that they are free of tuberculosis. Tuberculosis skin testing (PPD) is provided at the School Health Services Center. Montgomery County Public Health Services provides information about tuberculosis, testing and related services.
