Correctional Health Nurse (DOCR)  
 
A career as a Correctional Health Nurse in the Montgomery County Department of Correction & Rehabilitation (DOCR) offers the opportunity to use your professional skills providing comprehensive nursing services to a diverse population of pre-trial detainees and locally sentenced adult offenders. You will work in either the County's Rockville Detention Center or the new state-of-the-art facility in Clarksburg, which will open in 2003.

To apply, you must have:
 
 
 
a bachelor's degree in nursing from a college or university accredited by the National League for Nursing, or a degree or certificate from an equivalent program as determined by the Maryland Board of Examiners
 
a current license from the Maryland Board of Examiners to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Maryland
 
two years of full-time post licensure experience as a nurse.
