Ice Sports for the Entire Family
The blustery winter is not a deterrent for lovers of the ice as these indoors classes and lessons offer something for beginners to advanced.

• Lifeguards/Pools:There are openings for part-time temporary workers at indoor pools for lifeguards, instructors, cashiers, and swim coaches. Retraining available. For more information, contact a facility supervisor at the indoor pool nearest you, or call the Aquatics office at 240-777-6860.

• Youth Sports Coaches: Volunteer coaches needed for baseball, T-ball and softball. The National Youth Sports Coaches’ Association certified training will prepare you and can be conducted online. Must be at least age 16. Call Corky McCorkle at 240-777-6961.

• Youth Sports Game Officials: MCRD is seeking game officials for youth sports leagues, including baseball and softball programs for grades 2-9. Training is available. Call 240-777-6961.

• Softball Umpires Need: Maryland State Umpires Association seeks game officials for the 2007 softball seasons. Solid understanding of the basic rules of baseball and/or softball suggested. For more information, contact Adrian Burns at 301/445-5263 or Dick Shinnick at 301/946-6612.
