Great Fun for All at KidFest ’07
The Recreation Department’s 5th Annual Kidfest, May 6 at Cabin John Regional Park, was another huge success with a crowd of just under 10,000. There were clowns, music, games, arts, crafts, safety tips, a nature exhibit with big hairy spiders and, best of all, funnel cake. Thanks for attending!

The Summer Guide for classes and activities is now available, with registration opening May 14. But there are still some fun classes from the spring session opening this month. Take a gander:

Lifeguards/Pools:There are openings for part-time temporary workers at indoor pools for lifeguards, instructors, cashiers, and swim coaches. Retraining available. For more information, contact a facility supervisor at the indoor pool nearest you, or call the Aquatics office at 240-777-6860.

Youth Sports Coaches: Volunteer coaches needed for baseball, T-ball and softball. The National Youth Sports Coaches’ Association certified training will prepare you and can be conducted online. Must be at least age 16. Call Corky McCorkle at 240-777-6961.

Youth Sports Game Officials: MCRD is seeking game officials for youth sports leagues, including baseball and softball programs for grades 2-9. Training available. Call 240-777-6961.
